VACANCY: WORKSHOP MANAGER

Location: Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) & Project: R335 Motherwell to Addo

Project Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Intertrading Africa (Pty) Ltd invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Workshop Manager.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage daily workshop operations and supervise workshop personnel.
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Ensure plant and equipment are serviced and maintained to manufacturer and company standards.
• Monitor equipment availability, workshop productivity, and maintenance costs.
• Manage job cards, maintenance records, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate suppliers and external service providers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SHEQ requirements, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Prepare maintenance reports and recommend improvements to fleet reliability.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Test) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience maintaining heavy construction plant, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of yellow plant, diesel engines, hydraulics, and workshop management.
• Valid driver's license and computer literacy.
