 Launchbury's Engineering is a well-established manufacturing business in Central Queensland.

As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, managing workflow coordinating staff, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.

You will be an integral part of the management team that delivers quality out-comes to industrial, mining, construction and infrastructure projects throughout the local area and other parts of Queensland

About you:

-          Trade qualifications – Engineering Boilermaker

-          Problem solver, excellent time management skills & superior attention to detail.

-          Confident in communicating with Staff and Customers

-          Solid software knowledge of Excel, MS Office, Outlook and CAD (desirable)

-          Be able to interpret workshop drawings.

-          Full hands on – operational experience, with the ability to work quickly, effectively and positively in a demanding environment.

-          Strong understanding and commitment to workplace safety

-           Be reliable and punctual, lead by example

Key Responsibilities:

-          Managing workshop production and productivity.

-          Co-ordinate workshop staff, ensuring deadlines and timeframes are met.

-          Provide regular feedback to Senior Management of workshop performance.

-          Provide leadership to all workshop personnel.

-          Monitoring of stock, workshop equipment and materials.

-          Ensure that the quality of all fabrication work carried out conforms to the client’s specifications and to the Company’s quality system.

-          Site visits to liaise with customers, measure and plan jobs.
