Workshop Manager / Customer Service Manager

Location: Hounslow, West London
Salary: £30,000–£40,000 depending on experience

We are a busy and growing automotive styling and protection business specialising in Paint Protection Film (PPF), window tinting and vehicle enhancement.

We are looking for an experienced, organised and confident Workshop Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the workshop and customer operations.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role and would suit someone with previous experience working in a car garage, bodyshop, detailing, PPF, wrapping or automotive environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the daily workflow of the business, ensuring customers are looked after and jobs move through the workshop efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing bookings and the workshop diary
• Responding to customer enquiries by phone, email, WhatsApp and social media
• Providing customers with information on our services and pricing
• Booking vehicles in and coordinating customer collection/drop-off times
• Managing the day-to-day workshop schedule
• Allocating jobs to technicians and keeping track of progress
• Ensuring jobs are completed on time and to the required standard
• Carrying out vehicle check-ins and check-outs
• Keeping customers updated throughout their vehicle's stay
• Dealing with any customer issues or queries professionally
• Ordering/monitoring workshop supplies where required
• Keeping the workshop organised and running efficiently
• Working closely with the business owner and technicians
• Helping improve systems and processes as the business continues to grow

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks at once
• Confident speaking to customers
• Professional and presentable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to prioritise jobs and manage a busy diary
• Computer literate and comfortable using booking systems, email and messaging platforms
• A good communicator who can work effectively with technicians
• Automotive/garage experience is highly desirable
• Experience in PPF, vehicle wrapping, detailing, bodyshop or automotive aftercare would be a strong advantage
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the workshop
• Someone who takes pride in providing a high level of customer service

You don't necessarily need to be a technician, but you should have a good understanding of how an automotive workshop operates and be comfortable working around vehicles and technicians.
