We're looking for a Workshop Supervisor to take a hands-on leadership role within our Welshpool workshop, overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting our technicians and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Workshop Supervisor, Leading Hand or Senior Technician looking to take the next step and play a key role in the performance and development of a busy workshop.

Experience with forklifts, material handling or access equipment is highly regarded, with Access experience desirable.

About the Role

As Workshop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for keeping the workshop running safely, efficiently and profitably while providing leadership and support to the team.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading and coordinating workshop technicians and daily workflow
• Monitoring job progress, labour utilisation, scheduling and costs
• Ensuring quality workmanship, accurate job recording and on-time completion
• Overseeing warranty work and manufacturer compliance
• Driving workshop safety, housekeeping and compliance standards
• Supporting technician training, apprentices and capability development
• Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and performance management
• Identifying opportunities to improve workshop efficiency and performance

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with genuine leadership capability.

You'll ideally have:

• A mechanical trade qualification
• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Experience in heavy vehicle, forklift, material handling, industrial equipment, mining, agricultural or earthmoving industries
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• A solid understanding of workshop safety and OH&S requirements
• Experience with job costing and job management systems
• Strong communication and people leadership skills
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Good Microsoft Office and computer skills
• A customer-focused and commercially aware mindset
• Forklift, material handling or Access equipment experience is highly desirable
