Position

Due to ongoing growth, a Workshop Supervisor position has become available within the Perth branch.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop team, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You will lead a team of technicians while remaining involved in technical support, diagnostics, job allocation, and ensuring workshop productivity and customer requirements are met.

Responsibilities will include:

* Supervising and supporting the workshop team on a day-to-day basis.
* Allocating jobs and coordinating workflow to ensure efficient workshop operations.
* Carrying out and overseeing servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance of heavy equipment.
* Assisting technicians with complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
* Ensuring workshop jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
* Monitoring job progress, productivity, and turnaround times.
* Working closely with parts, service, and management teams to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
* Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
* Supporting the development and training of workshop technicians.

Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a trade-qualified mechanic with strong experience working on heavy diesel, mobile plant, or large-scale equipment, along with the ability to lead and coordinate a workshop team.

You will need to be comfortable taking responsibility for workshop operations while still providing hands-on technical support when required.

The key attributes of an ideal candidate would include:

* Trade qualification - Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant, or Automotive Mechanic.
* Strong experience working on heavy equipment and diesel systems.
* Previous workshop leadership, supervisory, or senior technician experience.
* Strong diagnostic and mechanical fault-finding skills.
* Good understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems.
* Strong communication and team leadership skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and keep workshop jobs moving.
