Workshop Supervisor – Paisley Autocare

Location: Paisley
Salary: £50,000+ per year – negotiable depending on experience
Bonus scheme available
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
No weekends
Optional overtime available

Paisley Autocare is looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our busy, award-winning team.

This is a hands-on workshop role for someone with strong mechanical experience who can work on the floor alongside our technicians while helping keep the workshop running smoothly.

The Workshop Supervisor will work closely with our Workshop Controller and will act as the main point of contact on the workshop floor.

The Role

You will be actively involved in the day-to-day running of the workshop, including:

• Working on vehicles alongside the rest of the workshop team
• Acting as the main point of contact for technicians on the workshop floor
• Working closely with the Workshop Controller to keep jobs moving efficiently
• Helping organise and prioritise work throughout the day
• Supporting technicians with repairs, diagnostics and technical issues
• Monitoring the progress and quality of workshop jobs
• Carrying out quality checks where required
• Helping maintain good communication between the workshop floor and Workshop Controller
• Supporting apprentices and less experienced technicians
• Ensuring workshop standards, procedures and health and safety requirements are followed

What We're Looking For

Strong mechanical experience is essential for this role.

The successful candidate should have:

• Several years of hands-on mechanical experience
• Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnostics
• Experience working within a busy workshop environment
• The confidence to lead and support technicians on the workshop floor
• Good organisation and communication skills
• The ability to identify problems and help keep jobs moving
• A professional and practical approach to workshop standards
• A full UK driving licence

Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial, but we would also consider an experienced senior technician looking to progress into a supervisory position.

MOT Tester status would be an advantage but is not essential.
