Workshop Technician

mountune is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Workshop Technician to join our team at our Brentwood workshop.

As a specialist performance automotive brand, we work with a range of Ford and other performance vehicles, carrying out servicing, repairs, performance upgrades and vehicle modifications. We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical background, a genuine passion for cars and an interest in performance automotive engineering.

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering high-quality workmanship, ensuring vehicles are maintained and upgraded to the standards expected of the mountune brand. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys working on performance vehicles and wants to develop their skills within a specialist automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on a range of vehicles.
• Install performance upgrades, including induction kits, intercoolers, exhaust systems, suspension components and other aftermarket parts.
• Assist with the installation and development of mountune performance products.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
• Carry out vehicle inspections and ensure all work meets the required quality and safety standards.
• Work with engine management and performance calibration products where required.
• Prepare vehicles for customer collection, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and wider team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• Keep accurate records of work carried out and communicate any additional requirements or issues to the relevant team members.
• Deliver excellent customer service by taking pride in the quality and reliability of the work completed.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Vehicle Mechanic.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and practical experience working on cars.
• A genuine interest in performance vehicles, tuning and automotive modifications.
• Experience fitting aftermarket performance parts would be highly desirable.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with workshop tools, diagnostic equipment and vehicle servicing procedures.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is passionate about cars and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical foundation, a proactive attitude and a desire to work on vehicles beyond routine servicing and repairs.

Experience within the performance automotive or aftermarket tuning industry would be a significant advantage, although we would also welcome applications from experienced technicians looking to develop their skills in this specialist sector.

Working Hours

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with working hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
