Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed wound evaluations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans incorporating evidence-based practices and advanced therapies such as skin substitutes.
• Perform procedures including debridement, grafting, and sterile dressing changes using aseptic techniques to promote optimal healing.
• Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infection control, and comorbidities like diabetes or vascular disease to ensure holistic patient care.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems through WoundAlly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide patient education on wound prevention strategies, lifestyle modifications, and medication administration to empower self-care and improve healing outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with relevant state certification.
• Experience in debridement, collagen grafting, and WoundAlly Charting
• Current assignment: Pacoima CA $150
• Proven experience in wound care management
• Familiarity with advanced wound therapies including skin grafting, and infection control protocols.
• Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR systems ; experience with CPT coding and ICD coding is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to dermatology, infectious disease care, pain management, and vascular physiology.
• Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to perform sterile procedures such as venipuncture and catheter care confidently.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Pay: $150.00 per hour
