Wound Care Nurse

The Orchards is currently seeking a Wound Care Nurse to join our team.

Wound Care Nurse Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess and document patients’ wound conditions and overall health status.
• Develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Perform wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and infection control measures.
• Educate patients and their families about wound care, prevention strategies, and self-management techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in wound care practices and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Current LPN or RN license in Michigan.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on wound care preferred.
• Certification in wound care (e.g., CWCN, CWS, WCC) is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
