Wound Care Nurse

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Wound Care Nurse to provide specialized wound management and patient care across diverse healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise in wound assessment, treatment planning, and advanced wound healing techniques. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes by delivering comprehensive wound care, educating patients and staff, and ensuring adherence to health regulations and best practices. Responsibilities

• Cleanse, dress, and monitor wounds according to established protocols
• Administer medications as prescribed for wound management-
• Monitor vital signs and assess overall patient well-being during wound care procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes-
• Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with all health regulations, HIPAA privacy standards, and nursing policy guidelines during patient care activities.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems for seamless medical documentation.
• Requirements:
• Valid nursing license in the state of CA, RN prefered but LVN's with strong wound care experience are encouraged to apply.
• Certification in Wound Care (CWCA) or willingness to obtain certification within 1 months of hire
• Strong knowledge of wound care principles, techniques, and best practices
• Ability to perform physical assessments, including vital signs monitoring
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including individuals requiring critical care or hospice care
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Point Click Care
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of wound care

Pay: $47.00 - $54.00 per hour
