Wound Care Nurse

Duties:

• Provide specialized wound care treatments and interventions to patients
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the appropriate course of treatment
• Administer wound care procedures such as debridement, dressing changes, and wound irrigation
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and their families on wound care management and prevention strategies

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Wound Care Nurse or in a related role
• Proficient in ambulatory surgery center protocols and procedures
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Experience with IV insertion and management
• Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and infection control practices
• Ability to lift and move patients safely and comfortably
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is preferred
• Knowledge of dermal fillers and their application is an asset
