Role Description The Writer role at MetroLagoons is a full-time, on-site position based in Tampa, FL. In this role, the Writer develops clear, engaging written content that supports marketing campaigns, guest communications, and brand storytelling, including web copy, social media posts, brochures, signage, and promotional materials. The Writer collaborates with marketing, operations, and guest services teams to capture the unique lagoon experience and ensure messaging is consistent across all channels. Daily responsibilities include researching topics related to lagoon activities and events, drafting and revising copy, adapting tone and style for different audiences, and meeting deadlines for multiple concurrent projects. The Writer also helps maintain brand guidelines, proofreads materials for accuracy and clarity, and gathers feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve content.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content for diverse audiences.
• Experience creating content for marketing channels such as websites, social media, email campaigns, and print materials.
• Effective research abilities to develop accurate, informative content about events, amenities, and guest experiences.
• Attention to detail in grammar, spelling, and style, including thorough proofreading of all written materials.
• Ability to work on-site in Tampa, FL, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset and interest in hospitality or leisure industries.
• Proficiency with common office and content tools (e.g., word processing software, shared drives, basic project or content management platforms).
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in tourism, hospitality, entertainment, or lifestyle brands is a plus.
