X-Ray Technician / Medical Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable X-Ray Technician / Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role combines diagnostic imaging with hands-on patient care and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced medical setting.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Florida X-ray license, such as Basic Machine Operator (BMO) or Radiologic Technologist, and is eager to expand their medical assisting skills. Training may be provided for additional clinical responsibilities.

In addition to urgent care services, this position offers opportunities to gain experience in workers’ compensation, occupational medicine testing, medical weight management, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, obtain medical histories, and record vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations, medical procedures, and X-rays.
• Perform X-ray procedures in accordance with provider instructions and established safety protocols.
• Administer medications as prescribed and accurately document care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Perform clinical tests and procedures, including blood draws, drug and alcohol testing, and spirometry, as trained and authorized.
• Assist providers with patient education, treatment information, and follow-up instructions.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate clearly with patients and team members.
• Assist patients with arranging follow-up appointments and next steps in their care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
• Support administrative duties, including answering phones, managing messages, scanning documents, maintaining logs, and completing medical records.
• Work collaboratively with the clinical team to provide efficient, compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Florida X-ray license, such as BMO or Radiologic Technologist.
• Experience in a clinical setting and familiarity with medical office procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical record systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient service skills.
• Willingness to learn additional medical assisting skills and procedures.
• A professional, caring, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar clinical setting.
• Experience with occupational medicine or workers’ compensation services.
• Recent X-ray graduates interested in developing additional medical assisting skills are encouraged to apply.
