Position: X-Ray Technician
Department: Radiology
Reports To: Radiologist / Radiology In-Charge / Hospital Administrator

Job Summary

Responsible for performing diagnostic X-ray procedures safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality images while maintaining patient safety, radiation protection, and proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray examinations as per physician/radiologist instructions.
• Verify patient identity, examination details, and clinical information before procedures.
• Position patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
• Operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment.
• Maintain proper exposure parameters according to patient condition and examination type.
• Ensure image quality and repeat examinations only when clinically necessary.
• Assist patients with mobility and positioning while maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the X-ray room and equipment.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report technical problems immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of examinations and patient details.
• Follow hospital infection-control policies and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for required investigations.
• Handle emergency and portable X-ray procedures when required.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualification

• Diploma / B.Sc. in Radiology & Imaging Technology or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid registration/certification as applicable.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Experience need 1-2 years

Skills Required

• Good knowledge of X-ray procedures and positioning techniques.
• Knowledge of radiation protection and safety standards.
• Ability to operate digital X-ray systems.
• Good communication and patient-handling skills.
• Ability to work efficiently during emergency situations.
• Attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
• Teamwork and professional conduct.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
