Duties

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients’ bones, tissues, and organs, ensuring clarity and accuracy for effective diagnosis
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
• Utilize specialized imaging techniques including mammography, DEXA scans for bone density assessment, PET scans for metabolic activity evaluation, CT scans for detailed cross-sectional images, and sonography for soft tissue examination
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures requiring sterile environments
• Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to interpret images accurately and assist in diagnostic evaluations across various clinical settings such as emergency rooms and trauma centers
• Ensure all imaging equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operated according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
• Document procedures thoroughly in patient records while adhering to confidentiality protocols and medical terminology standards

Experience

• Proven experience operating diagnostic radiology equipment including X-ray machines, mammography units, DEXA scanners, CT scanners, PET scanners, ultrasound devices (sonography), and related imaging technology
• Hands-on experience working in urgent care settings or Level I/Level II trauma centers with exposure to emergency medicine workflows
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology practices
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during invasive or sterile procedures
• Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately under pressure in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or trauma centers
• Prior experience with nuclear medicine procedures including PET scans or other advanced imaging modalities is a plus
• Strong understanding of safety standards related to radiation exposure and patient protection

Pay: $22.89 - $30.00 per hour
