Urgent Care in Laguna Beach is seeking a dependable, friendly X-Ray Technician / Medical Assistant who is comfortable working in both the front and back office. This combined role includes performing X-rays, assisting with patient care, and supporting daily office operations.

Weekend availability is required. Please include your Saturday, Sunday, and weekday availability when applying.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-rays within your California certification or permit scope, following proper positioning and radiation safety procedures.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, document histories, and assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Perform EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other medical assisting duties within your training and authorized scope.
• Greet patients, answer phones, register patients, verify insurance, and collect payments.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with providers and coworkers.
• Clean and restock exam rooms, maintain supplies, and follow infection prevention and patient identification procedures.
• Help maintain an organized office and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Current California X-ray certification or limited permit appropriate for the examinations performed.
• Medical assisting training and experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability and willingness to work both front and back office.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance and required weekend availability.
• Urgent care experience preferred.
• Experience with blood draws, EKGs, insurance verification, and patient registration preferred.
