Duties

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to obtain optimal images
• Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all radiation safety protocols and regulations
• Capture clear, detailed radiographic images for diagnostic purposes, ensuring accuracy and quality control
• Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, including patient information, technical details, and image records
• Assist physicians in reviewing images and making preliminary assessments when necessary
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures by following infection control standards and providing compassionate care
• Keep equipment well-maintained, report malfunctions promptly, and assist with inventory management of supplies

Requirements

• Certification as an X-Ray Technologist or Radiologic Technologist (RT) credential from a recognized certifying body
• Proven experience operating radiographic equipment in a clinical setting
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to radiology and patient care
• Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a lively, positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
• Knowledge of radiation safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed in a fast-moving healthcare environment

Pay: $37.42-$43.00 per hour
