X-RAY/CT TECHNOLOGIST

X-ray/CT Technologist (full-time night shift in Del Norte) WEEKENDS – 3/12 hours shifts (Friday Saturday Sunday) 0700-1930 with occasional weekday shifts needed.

Job Description

• Following prescribed techniques in performing radiologic procedures (including transportation/moving and correct identification of patients)
• Cleaning and stocking of XR/CT rooms. Cleaning and QA of equipment
• Performing on call and Holiday assignments as needed
• Performing general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones, burning CD’s, and faxing reports
• Moving equipment into specified position, preparing exam room, administering IV/PO contrast
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
• Starting IV’s as needed for patient procedures, including drawing blood for ISTAT/Lab

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

ARRT (R)(CT)

BLS (CPR)

Equipment Knowledge:

Siemens XRAY, CT, Portable and C-ARM, ISTAT

Computer, Copy Machine, Fax Machine, Printers

Education: High school Diploma/GED, AAS

Experience: At least 1 year experience in Radiology, CT and/or surgery experience preferred, IV skills preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be able to professionally handle situations with good judgement and as a team member of Rio Grande Hospital.

Specific duties and responsibilities: All Xray, CT exams, OP, IP and ER trauma exams.

Must be available to work flexible shifts

Wage: $38 .00 / hour
