Hernandez Roofing & Construction is looking for an experienced, highly organized Xactimate Estimator & Operations Coordinator to work closely with ownership and assist with both estimating and the day-to-day operations of our growing roofing and construction company.

This is not a basic clerical position. We are looking for someone with real roofing/construction knowledge and hands-on Xactimate experience who can become a dependable right-hand person to ownership and help keep projects, estimates, paperwork, finances, and administrative responsibilities organized and moving forward.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates using Xactimate
• Review insurance scopes, measurements, photos, reports, and project documentation
• Prepare estimate revisions and supplements when necessary
• Assist with roofing and construction estimating
• Help track project costs, budgets, expenses, and profitability
• Register manufacturer and roofing warranties
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare and organize invoices, receipts, purchase orders, and other financial documentation
• Maintain accurate customer and project records
• Update jobs and documentation in company software/CRM
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, suppliers, customers, subcontractors, and team members as needed
• Help follow up on outstanding documentation, payments, estimates, and project items
• Assist ownership with reports, spreadsheets, organization, and general administrative responsibilities
• Help develop better systems and processes as the company continues to grow
• Handle additional estimating, operational, and clerical responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous Xactimate estimating experience
• Roofing and/or construction knowledge
• Strong understanding of construction terminology, materials, and estimating
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable working with numbers, budgets, spreadsheets, and documentation
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Roofing or insurance-restoration estimating experience
• Experience preparing supplements and working with insurance claims
• Xactimate certification
• JobNimbus or other construction CRM experience
• QuickBooks/accounting experience
• Accounts payable/accounts receivable experience
• Experience with GAF or other manufacturer warranty registrations
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Previous experience working directly with construction company ownership or management

Compensation

Pay is highly influenced by experience, Xactimate proficiency, roofing/construction knowledge, and the level of responsibility the candidate is capable of handling.

We are willing to offer competitive compensation for the right person with proven experience. Candidates with advanced Xactimate skills, strong roofing/construction knowledge, insurance estimating experience, and the ability to independently handle a broader range of operational responsibilities may qualify for higher compensation.
