Homareya is an izakaya by chef Yoya Takahashi in Downtown Long Beach following a concept of delicious, warm, and fun atmosphere similar to home.

Homareya is currently looking for motivated front-of-house employees and kitchen staff. We are seeking candidates who can leverage their previous experience and contribute value to our restaurant.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
• Candidates with experience or a strong interest in learning yakitori and Japanese cuisine are encouraged to apply
• Willingness to learn proper knife skills, meat preparation, skewering, seasoning, and grilling techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a clean work environment
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Food Handler Card
• Toast POS experience

Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic kitchen prep as needed (e.g., chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, etc.)
• Prepare, season, skewer, and cook various meats, vegetables, and other ingredients for yakitori
• Operate and monitor the yakitori grill to maintain consistent cooking temperatures and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods

Job Type: Full/Part-time

Pay: Hourly wage will be determined based on experience. Details will be discussed during the interview.

• Tuesday to Sunday
• Night Shift
