What they need
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a switched-on Yard & Project Coordinator to join our Christchurch team. This is a hands-on role that sits right in the middle of our day-to-day operations keeping the yard organised, coordinating freight and deliveries, managing equipment and materials, and making sure our projects have what they need, when they need it.
You’ll need to be someone who sees what needs doing and gets it done. One minute you could be coordinating a delivery, the next you might be jumping on the forklift, checking a load, or solving a problem before it becomes one.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of our Christchurch yard and facilities.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing freight, equipment, containers and materials.
- Manage deliveries and collections, working closely with drivers, suppliers, clients and internal teams.
- Load, unload and move materials and equipment around the yard using a forklift.
- Keep the yard organised, safe and ready for upcoming projects.
- Check outgoing loads and freight are correctly prepared and ready for dispatch.
- Track equipment, materials and assets within the yard and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate project logistics, including personnel, equipment, freight and transport requirements.
- Work closely with our Transport team to keep deliveries and movements running smoothly.
- Assist with project preparation, mobilisation and general operational coordination.
- Jump in and get hands-on when needed
- Help identify issues, find practical solutions and keep things moving when plans change.
What We’re Looking For:
- A current forklift licence and confidence operating a forklift in a busy yard environment.
- 3+ years’ experience in yard operations, transport, logistics, construction or a similar industry necessary.
- Experience coordinating deliveries, freight, equipment or projects.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate confidently with drivers, suppliers, customers and internal teams.
- A practical, hands-on approach and a “get stuck in” attitude.
- The ability to work independently, use initiative and solve problems.
- Good computer skills and the ability to keep accurate records and documentation.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
What We Offer:

Location: Christchurch
