SOUTH BAY SANDBLASTING & TANK CLEANING, INC. located in Washington State, shipyard related subcontractor looking to hire an Yard & Warehouse Assitant. Position Type: Full-Time (Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM)

South Bay Sand Blasting & Tank Cleaning, Inc. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard & Warehouse Assistant to support our Washington operations.

This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and general condition of our warehouse, yard, company vehicles, equipment, and facilities. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes initiative, and is willing to assist with a variety of day-to-day tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and yard.
• Sweep, clean, organize, and remove trash and debris from work areas.
• Wash and maintain the cleanliness of company trucks, vans, and other vehicles.
• Assist with basic vehicle, equipment, facility, and property maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs and general handyman-type tasks as directed.
• Organize tools, equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Receive, move, and store deliveries and supplies.
• Pick up and deliver tools, materials, equipment, parts, and documents as needed.
• Assist Purchasing, Production, Safety, and other departments with general support tasks.
• Help prepare tools, equipment, and materials for field crews.
• Maintain designated storage areas and ensure materials are properly organized.
• Notify management of damaged equipment, maintenance needs, unsafe conditions, or supply shortages.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform other general labor, warehouse, yard, and facility duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical work including walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and working outdoors.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic mechanical or handyman experience is preferred but not required.
• Warehouse, construction, industrial, automotive, or general labor experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed.

Working Conditions And Physical Demands

• Predominantly seated occasionally standing and walking to access different areas of the office
• Frequent typing on a keyboard, mouse clicking, and other hand movements associated with computer use
• Close-up focus on computer screens for extended periods, requiring good visual acuity
• Able and willing to follow all applicable site and company safety procedures

Other Requirements All positions require a pre-employment medical test. This employer participates in E-Verify. Must be able to qualify for DBIDS security clearance. Ability to read technical English is a must. U.S. Citizenship is preferred (for some work locations it is required). Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
