Yard & Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking Yard & Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

The role involves a variety of general yard, maintenance and cleaning duties, so we are looking for someone who is hands-on, takes pride in their work and is happy to get stuck

in.

Duties will include:

• General yard maintenance and upkeep
• Moving and positioning steps and equipment around the site
• General repairs and maintenance
• Rust treatment and painting
• Cleaning and keeping the site tidy
• Assisting with general day-to-day yard duties
• Dealing politely and helpfully with customers when required
• Answering and dealing with telephone enquiries
• Using computers for basic day-to-day tasks

The ideal candidate:

• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Is able to work independently and as part of a team
• Has a practical, hands-on approach
• Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Has good communication and customer service skills
• Is computer literate
• Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and tidy working environment
• Is willing to learn and take on a variety of different tasks

Forklift experience and/or welding experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys practical work and wants a position where no two days are necessarily the same.

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
