The Building Materials “Yard Associate” assists customers and keeps product stocked.

DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Shift Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Knowledge of the store layout, inventory, company policy, etc.
• Locate products for customers.
• Stock bins and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate low or out of stock materials to “purchasing” for replenishment.
• Perform and or assist in cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to organize a daily workload by priority.
• Attend safety meetings as needed.
• Observes store areas for safety, potential theft and security risks.
• Ensure that customer expectations are communicated to “operations/Management” as necessary.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Cut product per customers specifications
• Assist customers loading and unloading product
• Assist restocking returned product
• Flat stack all lumber and deck bins
• Ensure yard pull tags are full and are located with correct product
• Report to shift supervisor before end of assigned shift, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed and no further assistance is required

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma/GED

INDIVIDUAL’S RESPONSIBILIITIES

• Wear the appropriate attire provided by BHS
• Dress accordingly for the current weather conditions
• Must wear steel toed footwear

ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Stoop, Kneel, Crouch or Crawl Periodically
• Lift and Carry up to 50lbs repeatedly
• Stand prolonged periods

• Monday – Friday 6am-6pm

• Saturday 8am-5pm
• Monday – Friday 7am-5pm
