Yard Associate

Chrisp Company, specializing in the highway improvement construction industry for over 40 years, is seeking a Yard Associate for our Fremont, California location.

Summary:

Responsible for cleaning, fueling, loading, and unloading trucks. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard. Support field crews to ensure they depart the yard efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Yard

• Trucks: load, unload, fuel, and clean on a daily basis
• Keep yard clean and orderly at all times
• Pull orders in advance from material lists
• Will be required to make deliveries to job sites in company vehicle
• Other duties as assigned

2) Hours:

• Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Weekends / Overtime: As needed based on business requirements

3) General Requirements:

• Detail and service oriented
• Reliable and responsible
• Must be able to pass a standard drug test
• Must have a valid California driver’s license and clean DMV record (A copy of your DMV report will be reviewed during an interview)
• Warehouse experience a plus
• Routinely moves equipment / materials weighing 50 lbs.
• Minimum education required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience filling propane tanks a plus
• Class A or Class B commercial license a plus
