We’re looking for a dependable, safety-focused Yard Associate who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, operating equipment, and helping customers. You’ll play an important role in our daily operations by safely operating a forklift, loading customer orders, moving materials, and keeping our warehouse and landscape supply yard organized.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a forklift to load customer orders and move materials throughout the yard and warehouse
• Assist customers with loading products into vehicles and provide friendly, helpful service
• Organize and maintain the warehouse and outdoor landscape supply yard
• Ensure materials are properly identified, packaged, labeled, and stored
• Visually inspect materials to ensure they meet established standards
• Maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and work areas
• Organize, plan, and prioritize daily work
• Follow inventory procedures and assist with material movement
• Complete required documentation accurately at the end of each shift
• Follow company policies and all established safety procedures
• Maintain punctual and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift certification required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Basic math skills
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
• Point-of-Sale (POS) experience is a plus
• Basic computer skills are a plus
• Previous yard, warehouse, landscape supply, building materials, or material handling experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to routinely lift and carry 25-75 lbs. without assistance
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, powered industrial truck, and other applicable yard equipment
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the workday
• Frequent bending and stooping
• Frequent use of hands and feet to operate equipment
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding work throughout the scheduled shift

Work Environment

This position works onsite in a company store, warehouse, and outdoor landscape supply yard. The role is primarily outdoors and requires working in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. The yard environment may include uneven terrain, dust, noise, and operating machinery.

Work may also be performed in warehouses or in the cab of yard equipment with limited climate control. Required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety vests, eye protection, gloves, and other designated safety equipment, must be worn as required.

Schedule

This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. Hours may fluctuate based on seasonal and business needs. Weekend work and occasional overtime may be required.
