Join our client, a leading manufacturer and seller of pavers, as a Yard Hand/Forklift Operator. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the yard runs smoothly by handling equipment, assisting with stock movements, and maintaining a tidy work area.

What’s involved?
Your daily responsibilities will include cleaning, maintaining, and securing all equipment according to policies, assisting with picking and packing stock, data entry, operating a forklift, and willing to work outside in various weather conditions. Your initiative and reliability will contribute significantly to the team’s productivity and safety.

What skills do you need?

• Proven experience in forklift operation
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work physically, lifting and moving stock as required
• Reliable and proactive attitude with a focus on safety

Nice to have:

• Previous yard or warehouse experience
• Basic manual handling or safety certifications

Preferred qualifications & experience:

• Forklift license (essential)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or logistics environment preferred

Other requirements:

• Physically fit, willing to work outside in various weather conditions and in a fast-paced environment
• Long pants, high-visibility shirts, and steel caps PPE are required on site
• Availability to work between 5am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, with 38 hours per week
• Willingness to commit to a long-term role with a 3-month trial period leading to potential permanent placement
