Yard Hand / Depot Assistant

The Role

• Prepare, clean and organise equipment
• Load and unload plant, machinery and equipment
• Assist with customer collections and returns
• Conduct basic visual inspections and report damage or maintenance requirements
• Safely move and organise equipment throughout the yard
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe depot environment
• Assist workshop and operations teams when required
• Check equipment and accessories against hire requirements
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Follow WHS procedures and safe work practices
• Complete general yard, depot and housekeeping duties

Preferred Requirements

• Current Australian driver's licence
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Reliable, punctual and willing to assist wherever required
• Strong safety awareness
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in construction, warehousing, mechanical or trade environments is advantageous
• Forklift licence, White Card or EWP ticket would be highly regarded
