Yard Hand Junior - Immediate Start!

Miniquip is seeking a enthusiastic junior yard hand to join our dynamic team in Forrestdale. This is a full time role position that plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our depot and fleet of equipment. As a small team we take great pride in the presentation of our trucks, machinery and yard. The employee we seek, would work closely with the Fleet Controllers, Yard Hands and Wash Bay crew to keep daily yard operations flowing efficiently.

 What you'll be doing:

YARD DUTIES

Assisting in organizing and maintaining an efficient layout of the hire equipment and other materials to ensure a safe and tidy work environment.

• Conducting Pre-Hire and Off-Hire Inspections when equipment goes out and when returned.
• Assisting truck drivers with load/unload of deliveries, when required
• Assisting customers with equipment handovers and load/unload of pickups
• Assisting wash bay with cleaning of returned machinery, when required.
• Refueling of trucks and equipment ready for hire.
• Other yard tasks as required from time to time.

 What we're looking for:

• A person with strong interest in construction machinery and willingness to grow within our hire operations
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Great communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and capable candidate, that likes to get their hands dirty also able to pass drug & alcohol screening if required
• Must have own transport & drivers license.
• A positive, proactive, safe and team orientated attitude to get the job done!
