Yard Maintenance Worker

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Yard Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our outdoor yard and surrounding landscape areas. Your proactive approach will ensure that our yard remains organized, functional, and visually appealing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize various tools and equipment, and contribute to the efficient operation of our facility.

Duties

• Perform gardening duties including planting, pruning, mowing, and weed control to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy.
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as mulching, edging, and fertilizing to enhance aesthetic appeal.
• Use hand tools and power tools for routine repairs, trimming, digging, or other maintenance tasks around the yard.
• Inspect equipment regularly for mechanical issues; perform basic repairs or coordinate with technicians for complex repairs.
• Assist with construction projects related to yard improvements or infrastructure upgrades as needed.
• Maintain all sidewalks, pathways and parking areas. Keeping them free of any debris, snow or other hazards.

Skills

• Familiarity with landscape maintenance procedures including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilizing.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues with tools and equipment.
• Skilled in using a variety of hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, drills, lawn mowers, snow blowers).
• Basic construction experience is preferred for assisting with yard infrastructure projects.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward yard upkeep and safety standards.
• Must live within 5 km of site.
• Must have reliable method of transport
