Pennys Group Ltd is looking for a reliable and experienced Yard Supervisor / Yard Manager to join our team at our Henstridge Depot.

This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the yard, including waste movements, customer tipping, weighbridge transactions, site compliance and health & safety.

We are looking for someone who is organised, confident managing a busy working environment and comfortable taking responsibility for ensuring the yard operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all inbound and outbound waste movements
• Manage and coordinate site and external customer tipping
• Complete and oversee weighbridge transactions and associated records
• Ensure the site operates in accordance with relevant environmental permits, procedures and compliance requirements
• Maintain high standards of site health & safety
• Oversee general day-to-day yard operations
• Coordinate vehicle and material movements around the site
• Ensure waste is correctly handled, stored and directed within the yard
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork relating to site activities
• Help ensure the yard is kept safe, organised and operational
• Liaise with drivers, customers and other members of the Pennys team

Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience working within a waste management, recycling, construction, aggregates or similar yard environment would be beneficial.

The following would be preferred, although training will be provided for the right candidate:

• Loading Shovel ticket
• Excavator ticket
• WAMITAB qualification
• Previous experience using a computer-based systems
• Previous supervisory or yard management experience

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
