IMPORTED CARS LIMITED is a growing motor vehicle dealership specialising in the sale and distribution of quality used vehicles. We are seeking an organised and proactive Yard Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our vehicle yard, ensuring vehicles are presented to a high standard and yard operations run safely and efficiently.

About the Role

As the Yard Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating vehicle movements, supervising yard staff, maintaining vehicle presentation standards, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient operation of the vehicle yard. You will work closely with the sales and administration teams to ensure vehicles are ready for display, delivery, and customer collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and supervise the daily operations of the vehicle yard to ensure efficient workflow.
• Coordinate the movement, storage, and display of vehicles within the yard.
• Allocate work to yard staff and monitor performance to ensure operational requirements are met.
• Inspect vehicles upon arrival and prior to customer delivery to ensure presentation and quality standards are maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, movements, deliveries, and storage locations.
• Coordinate vehicle preparation activities, including cleaning, detailing, fuelling, battery charging, and minor presentation work.
• Arrange the safe loading, unloading, and positioning of vehicles transported to and from the dealership.
• Liaise with transport companies, suppliers, repairers, and internal departments to ensure timely processing of vehicles.
• Monitor stock levels of yard supplies and arrange ordering when required.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and maintain a safe and organised work environment.
• Conduct routine inspections of the yard, equipment, and facilities, reporting maintenance requirements as necessary.
• Assist management with operational planning, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the sales team by ensuring vehicles are presented professionally for customer viewing and delivery.
• Resolve operational issues efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Ensure dealership procedures and company policies are consistently followed.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience

OR

• A Level 4 qualification

Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
