We are looking for a motivated Yard Operative to become an important part of our busy Sawston branch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing a job well, and wants to build a rewarding career with a stable and expanding company.

Key Responsibilities

As a Yard Operative, you'll play a key role in keeping our operation running safely, efficiently, and accurately. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately and on time
• Loading customer collections and delivery vehicles
• Receiving and checking incoming stock deliveries
• Organising and storing materials correctly within the yard
• Carrying out stock checks and reporting shortages or damages
• Operating forklifts safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Providing a professional, friendly, and efficient service to customers, suppliers, and colleagues

What We’re Looking For

We're interested in people with the right attitude and work ethic. Experience in roofing, construction materials, or a similar environment is beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
