Yard Operative

Applications are invited for the post of Yard Operative to join our growing company, Floors of Stone, part of the deVOL group. The main purpose of the role is preparing pallets for despatch, unloading and loading delivery vehicles, and general maintenance of a busy yard environment. Responsibilities would also include stock management and quality control.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, with an excellent work ethic. The role would suit somebody who enjoys working outside in a physical job, as heavy lifting will be required. You will need basic IT skills, be well organised, and have an awareness of health and safety in the workplace. Experience of driving a forklift truck is beneficial, but not essential, as training can be offered. We are looking for an amiable character to interact with customers and colleagues, who will prove to be an asset to our team.
