Yard Operator - Afternoon Shift

We're currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Afternoon Shift Yard Operators to assist with our growing operations. Operational hours 2pm-11pm weekdays with the occasional weekend and overtime offerred.

Position Overview:

As an afternoon shift Yard Operator, your main responsibility will be to assist in our warehouse and yard operations. This includes loading, unloading, moving, and storing materials using various lifting equipment. You will also be responsible for inspecting products for defects and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with container unpacking, packing and freight movements.
• Support freight receivables, dispatch and yard organisation.
• Inspect freight for damage and report discrepancies.
• Complete operational documentation and maintain accurate freight records.
• Conduct equipment pre-start checks and maintain a safe, tidy work environment.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and transport teams to meet operational deadlines.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, yard or transport environment.
• Current LF forklift licence essential.
• CFS, container-handling forklift or reach stacker experience highly regarded.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a reliable, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and undertake manual handling duties safely.
