Yard Specialist

About Us:

Steeler, Inc. is a manufacturer of steel framing and a distributor of drywall and construction supplies. We are currently seeking an energetic, hard-working Yard Specialist/Stocker to facilitate organization of materials and to support our Seattle branch.

What You'll Do: The successful candidate will be prompt and detail oriented. We are looking for a dependable person who can get the job done, pulling will call orders for customers and staging for deliveries while keeping the yard and warehouse clean.

Day to Day:

• Pulling will call orders for customers
• Maintaining inventory levels
• Bilingual a plus
• Must lift 50plus pounds
• Ability to read and write English
• Need that to read the orders
• Self-starter
• Organize and maintain will call records
• Assist in delivering materials as needed
• Verify every load
• Keep yard and warehouse clean and organized
• Job duties are primarily outside in an open yard with overhung outdoor storage; job is exposed to weather elements daily.

What Makes You a Good Fit:

** Proficient in the safe operation of a Forklift Required** (3-5 years)

• Able to lift up to 75 pounds frequently
• Ability to prioritize customer work orders with daily duties in a fast paced environment
• Construction materials background preferred

• Paid vacation: Paid vacation accrues at a rate equivalent to one week during the first year of employment and two weeks annually beginning with the second year of employment.
• Paid sick leave: Paid sick leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 40 hours worked, in accordance with applicable Washington State and Seattle paid sick and safe time laws.
• Paid holidays: Eight paid holidays plus one floating holiday per year.
• Parental leave: Steeler does not currently offer a separate employer-paid parental-leave benefit. Eligible employees may apply for benefits through Washington's Paid Family and Medical Leave program.
• 401(k) retirement plan: Available to eligible employees after 60 days of employment. Steeler matches eligible employee contributions up to 4%.
• Other compensation: No performance-based bonus, commission, profit-sharing, stock options, or other additional compensation is currently offered for this position.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
