Yard Worker

Ranch & Property Maintenance Worker

We are looking for a motivated, reliable, hardworking self-starter to help maintain our home, property, and animals.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, punctual, comfortable working independently, and willing to take pride in keeping the property and animals well cared for. Experience working around horses and cattle is preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important.

Job Responsibilities

Duties will vary throughout the year depending on the season and property needs and may include:

• Feeding and watering horses, cattle, and other animals
• Cleaning and maintaining stalls, pens, and animal areas
• Mowing and maintaining lawns
• Raking leaves and general yard cleanup
• Shoveling snow and winter property maintenance
• General property cleanup and maintenance
• Performing seasonal chores and outdoor projects
• Monitoring animals and reporting any concerns
• Helping keep the property clean, safe, and well maintained
• Other household, ranch, and property-related chores as needed

This position requires someone who is comfortable with physical outdoor work and varying weather conditions and who can work independently without constant supervision.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and punctual
• Hardworking and dependable
• A self-starter who takes initiative
• Comfortable working around horses and cattle
• Physically capable of performing outdoor and manual labor
• Responsible and attentive to the care of animals and property
• Willing to work in hot, cold, wet, and snowy conditions
• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
• Previous livestock, ranch, farm, or property-maintenance experience is a plus

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $14–$16 per hour

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

We are looking for someone who will take ownership of the job and treat the property and animals as if they were their own. The right person will be dependable, trustworthy, hardworking, and able to see what needs to be done without always being asked.
