Yard Worker

*Job Overview*

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in assisting with the day-to-day operations of our yard and support with the manufacturing of different products. The role involves handling materials, assisting with cross-cutting and assembly of components, being involved overseeing shipping and receiving activities - including deliveries and picking orders ready for shipment.

*Duties*

• Perform materials handling tasks efficiently

• Assist with manufacturing activities as required

• Manage shipping and receiving processes for deliveries in and out

• Aid with the picking of orders to allow for the above to be completed succesfully

• Engage in heavy lifting duties

• Operate forklifts for material transportation

• Execute load and unload operations

• Delivery of goods both locally and to other areas across the Midlands

*Requirements*

• Prior experience in the timber trade or within builders merchants environments

• Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks

• Proficiency in operating forklifts

• Valid UK Driving License is a MUST HAVE

• Familiarity with small scale machinery used for cross cutting etc

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

• timber trade: 1 year (preferred)
