Yard Worker / Forklift Operator

Overview

Ellis Construction Specialties, a leading concrete forming and shoring company with over 40 years of experience and branches across Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas, is seeking a motivated and reliable Yard Worker / Forklift Operator for our Broomfield location. This full-time outdoor role offers a great work-life balance with no weekends and no required overtime plus a supportive team environment. This position is 85% labor and 15% Forklift Operation.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, clean, and prepare concrete forms and steel shoring materials using machines, grinders, and hand tools
• Accurately pull orders and stage materials for delivery by hand and forklift
• Load and unload flatbed semi-trucks with a forklift
• Restock inventory and maintain an organized yard
• Follow all safety protocols in this hands-on, physically active role

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age (for insurance purposes)
• Forklift experience strongly preferred
• Ability to safely lift up to 100lbs
• Punctual, dependable, with a strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Commitment to safety and company policies
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (this is not a warehouse job)
• This position may be subject to a background check and random drug screening. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Benefits & Perks:

• Competitive pay of $22 per hour with an opportunity for an increase after a 90-day performance review. Paid weekly.
• NO WEEKENDS or OVERTIME – Monday-Friday schedule
• PTO: 48 hours accrued in the first year (PTO increases with tenure)
• Health insurance available after 60 days (employee contribution required: approximately $70 per week for individual coverage; higher tiers available for spouse/children)

• 6 paid holidays after 3 months

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
