Yardperson & Machine Cleaner

Entry-Level Opportunity

Western Plant Hire is a leading provider of modern plant and equipment throughout Western Australia. Based at our Naval Base maintenance facility, we are seeking a motivated and reliable Yardperson & Machine Cleaner to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in the plant, transport, mining or construction industries. Previous experience is welcomed, but not essential. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn.

About the Role

Working within our maintenance team, you will assist with the presentation and upkeep of our fleet, yard and workshop facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Pressure cleaning plant and equipment
• Cleaning and detailing machine cabins
• Assisting with weed and seed inspections
• Basic paint touch-ups on equipment
• Maintaining the wash bay and yard facilities
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Assisting tradespeople where required
• General yard and workshop housekeeping
• Forklift operation (where licenced)
• Other duties as directed

• Be reliable, punctual and safety-focused
• Take pride in their work and attention to detail
• Enjoy hands-on work and take pride in presenting equipment to a high standard.
• Be able to safely perform the inherent physical requirements of the role.
• Be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Be willing to learn and follow directions
• Work well both independently and as part of a team
• Hold a current C Class Driver's Licence
• Hold a Forklift Licence (LF) or be willing to obtain one
