About the role

Civhire Limited, trading as Trenchmate, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Yardsman/Assemble to join our team on a full-time basis in Papakura, Auckland. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in our operations, ensuring that equipment and materials are properly maintained, organised, and assembled to support the smooth running of our business. As a Yardsman/Assemble, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our yard, contributing directly to the efficiency and productivity of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and organise yard equipment and materials, ensuring everything is stored safely and accessibly
• Assemble and prepare equipment and components as required for project deployment
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of yard equipment to ensure it remains in good working order
• Load and unload materials and equipment from vehicles with care and attention to safety
• Assist with the inventory management and tracking of yard stock and materials
• Ensure the yard workspace remains clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards
• Support other team members as needed to ensure operational efficiency
• Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues to management promptly

• Ability to follow health and safety procedures and work responsibly in a safe manner
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team
• Basic mechanical aptitude for assembling and maintaining equipment
• A valid New Zealand driver's licence is preferred
