Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits knowledge, to enhance guest experience and promote upselling opportunities
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including sales transaction processing and handling cash with integrity
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and food preparation practices
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly to ensure smooth service flow
• Engage with guests to foster positive relations, address concerns promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction
• Support beverage service including cocktail mixing, wine pouring, and spirits recommendations for an elevated dining experience
• Collaborate with team members to uphold a welcoming atmosphere in both fine dining and casual settings

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations through attentive service
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings is advantageous
• Ability to work flexible hours year-round, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
