Duties

• Follow and teach the curriculum
• Provide engaging, hands-on learning activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment
• Supervise children at all times and maintain appropriate classroom ratios.
• Complete daily classroom routines, including attendance, diapering/ toileting assistance, and other care needs
• Prepare and pass out children's lunches and snacks according to center policies
• Assist children during meals and ensure proper cleanup afterwards
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and sanitary throughout the day.
• Complete classroom cleaning duties, including wiping surfaces, cleaning tables, and taking trash out as needed.
• Complete required classroom documentation and communicate important information to parents and management
• Help maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a learning center/daycare is preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with working with 4-year-old children and their developmental needs is preferred
• Experience following or implementing a classroom curriculum is a plus
• Must be caring, patient, dependable, and energetic
• Must be comfortable in assisting in other classrooms when needed and comfortable working as a team
• Must be willing to complete required childcare trainings and meet all applicable licensing requirements

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
