Job Overview

The CHAMPIONS Program is looking for energetic, dependable, and passionate coaches who want to make a lasting impact in the lives of children. As a Youth Development Coach, you will lead engaging physical activity sessions in local schools, helping students develop confidence, healthy habits, teamwork, and fundamental movement skills. This is more than a coaching job—it's an opportunity to mentor the next generation and positively influence young lives every day.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead structured physical activity and movement sessions for elementary and middle school students.
• Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for every child.
• Teach age-appropriate movement skills, fitness, and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Encourage teamwork, confidence, respect, and perseverance.
• Serve as a positive role model both on and off the field.
• Set up and organize equipment before and after sessions.
• Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to lead with enthusiasm.

Requirements

• Passion for working with children and making a positive impact.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to be active for several hours, including standing, running, and demonstrating exercises.
• Experience coaching, teaching, mentoring, or working with youth is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• A degree or coursework in exercise science, kinesiology, sports science, education, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
