Youth Development Professional

Job Description- This is a part-time position Monday - Friday

• The ideal applicant must be available for any of the following shifts
• 1. 6:15am - 9:00am
• 2. 2:30pm - 6:00pm
• 3. Both AM shift and PM shift listed above

The Boys & Girls Club of East Providence is seeking applicants to plan and run high-yield activities for our youth.
Applicants MUST have:
*Previous experience working with youth
* Hold a high school diploma and college credits preferred

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Program Development and Implementation

• Supervise school-age youth during various programming such as gym time, STEM, art homework help, and meal time
• Support and collaborate with other youth development staff in ensuring the safety and well being of youth
• Monitor, report, and resolve behavioral situations with members
• Organize and lead high-yield activities with members
• All other childcare related tasks as requested by the director on duty

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• May participate in special programs and/or events

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Minimum one year of previous experience with youth
• High School diploma, college credits preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.

Salary: $15.50-19.00 an hour based on experience and education level
