Youth Marvel Rival Coach

Do you love Marvel Rivals and want to make a positive impact on the next generation? Join the team at Valhallan Esports Training! We are seeking a high-energy Youth Marvel Rivals Coach to mentor young athletes ages 7–17 at our Southeast Las Vegas arena.

We are looking for someone who understands Marvel Rivals beyond simply playing the game. Our ideal coach can help athletes improve their mechanics, understand hero roles and team compositions, communicate effectively, climb the competitive ranks, and learn how to compete successfully as part of an organized esports team.

Our mission is to turn a player's passion for gaming into purpose. Through structured esports training, athletes develop their gaming talents while strengthening teamwork, communication, leadership, accountability, strategic thinking, resilience, and problem-solving skills.

We proactively introduce esports to kids, teens, adults, and families so they can understand the value and opportunities that structured competitive gaming can provide. Our athletes are exposed to organized competition, collegiate esports pathways, potential scholarship opportunities, STEM and technology, cybersecurity, game development, content creation, and careers throughout the growing esports industry.

At Valhallan, we aren't simply teaching kids how to play video games. We teach, train, develop, and grow athletes through gaming, helping them turn passion into purpose and skills developed in esports into skills they can carry into college, careers, and the real world.

Key Responsibilities

Marvel Rivals Coaching: Lead structured practices covering hero roles, team compositions, positioning, ability usage, ultimate management, objective control, communication, and competitive strategy.

Player Development: Help athletes improve their mechanics, game knowledge, ranked performance, teamwork, and ability to compete in an organized team environment.

Strategy & Presentations: Deliver demonstrations, drills, strategy discussions, match reviews, and constructive feedback.

Curriculum: Learn and deliver Valhallan's structured training and character-development programs.

Life Skills: Reinforce teamwork, leadership, accountability, communication, sportsmanship, resilience, and problem-solving.

Arena Operations: Prepare gaming PCs, launch required games, troubleshoot minor technical issues, and maintain a clean and organized training environment.

Parent Communication: Professionally communicate with parents regarding player development, participation, competition, and schedules.

Community Support: Assist with free trials, tournaments, camps, community events, and activities designed to introduce new families to Valhallan.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Marvel Rivals heroes, roles, maps, team compositions, and competitive strategy
• Competitive or high-level Marvel Rivals experience preferred
• Previous coaching or team leadership experience is a plus
• Experience working with children or teenagers is highly valued
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Patient, dependable, positive, and comfortable giving constructive feedback
• Basic PC gaming and troubleshooting knowledge
• Must be able to pass a standard background check
