Job Summary

Mindful Community Solutions, LLC is a trauma-informed community practice dedicated to supporting the growth, resilience, and overall well-being of individuals, families, and communities through compassionate, relationship-based services. We provide mentoring services that help children, adolescents, and young adults build confidence, strengthen life skills, and reach their personal goals in a supportive and encouraging environment.

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and culturally responsive Mentoring Services Specialist who is committed to youth development, client-centered support, and helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a practice that values connection, growth, and community.

Duties

• Build trusting relationships with youth by providing consistent support, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
• Develop and implement engaging youth programs focused on adolescent development, social skills, and life skills education.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and social workers to create tailored plans that address individual needs, including those with disabilities or behavioral health challenges.
• Facilitate activities that promote social-emotional learning, conflict management, and high-risk population support.
• Monitor progress and document youth development milestones, behavioral changes, and program participation.
• Assist in crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring safety and well-being of all participants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human services, education, social work, psychology, or a related field preferred
• Experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, or families preferred
• Background in mentoring, youth development, education, case management, or related support services preferred
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
• Ability to connect with diverse client populations in a respectful and culturally responsive manner
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based, and youth-centered practices
• Commitment to ethical practice, professional growth, and collaborative care
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a supportive team environment
• Reliable, flexible, and able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
