What they need

Help us build something special

CourtBloom is a New Hampshire nonprofit, and our programs are completely free for kids and families. We’ve already served more than 420 children in our first two communities, and within the next month we’re growing to five. Every week, kids at our sites play, learn and share a meal together at no cost. Every child gets food and essentials, so no one ever has to ask.

We’re looking for one person to be a steady, trusted adult for the same kids, week after week, in four communities. Above all, we need someone who believes wholeheartedly in this mission and wants to grow with us. This role is meant to be the start of something, both for CourtBloom and for the right person.

The schedule

  • Monday: Meredith, 4–7pm
  • Wednesday: Laconia, 4–6pm
  • Thursday: Manchester, 4–5pm
  • Friday: Laconia (after-school program), 3:50–4:50pm
  • Saturday: Franklin, 8–10am
  • Sunday: Franklin, 8–10am
  • Plus 4–6 hours a week of general administrative work with clear deliverables, built into your own schedule

What you’ll do

  • Support the Executive Director in running safe, fun, high-energy sessions for kids in grades 2–12
  • Build real relationships with kids and families
  • Help lead our shared-meal learning time: reading, vocabulary, and conversation
  • Mentor our teen Youth Leaders as they learn to lead younger kids
  • Help coordinate meals, volunteers and supplies across sites
  • Share your ideas. We want to hear how things could be even better.

Who we’re looking for

  • You believe in the mission and want to grow with it
  • You’re dependable. Our kids look forward to seeing the same faces every week.
  • You plan ahead and can give a month’s notice on schedule changes
  • You’re available weekday afternoons (Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri) and weekend mornings (Sat and Sun)
  • You manage your own time well and deliver on what you commit to
  • You have reliable transportation (gas is reimbursed)
  • You’re 18 or older
  • You’re willing to complete child-safety training and certifications (provided by CourtBloom)
  • Experience with kids is a plus: teaching, coaching, after-school, para work, camps, recreation or similar

Grow with us

This role works directly under and in support of our Executive Director, and it’s built to grow as CourtBloom grows. Here’s the path we see:

  • Youth Program Associate (this role): part-time, $22–$27/hr depending on experience. Learn our programs, our kids and our approach, and support the ED at every site.
  • Youth Program Coordinator: more hours, $28/hr. Lead sessions independently and take on volunteer and site coordination.
  • Program Manager: full time with benefits, $50,000–$55,000. Help lead CourtBloom’s programs across communities, in partnership with the ED.

We plan to make this a full-time role with benefits within 1.5–2 years. Advancement is based on performance, reliability and CourtBloom’s growth.

Our hiring process

Because this role means so much to our kids, we take care to find the right fit.

  • Phone conversation
  • Virtual interview (recorded with your consent)
  • In-person interview
  • Paid trial weekend: our Saturday and Sunday program in Franklin

A background check is required. Before the trial weekend, finalists will be asked for three professional references, authorization for a background check, and consent to employment verification. New hires begin with a 60-day probationary period.

To apply

Send your resume and a cover letter to [email protected].

We ask for a cover letter because we want to get to know you beyond what a resume can show. Tell us who you are, why this mission matters to you, and what you’d bring to the kids we serve. It doesn’t need to be formal. It just needs to be you.
