About Pretty Gyrlz Pray
Pretty Gyrlz Pray Worldwide exists to protect girls' potential.
We work with girls in school and community settings to support their emotional wellness, identity development, decision-making, relationships, personal responsibility, and ability to navigate the challenges that can affect how they see themselves and their future.
Our work is grounded in youth development, social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practice, and biblical principles.
We believe girls deserve adults who see their potential, understand their development, hold appropriate boundaries, and are willing to challenge them with both compassion and accountability.
About the Role
Pretty Gyrlz Pray is seeking a Program Facilitator to lead school-based sessions with girls during the school day.
This is not a traditional program assistant position. The person in this role will represent Pretty Gyrlz Pray directly inside our partner schools and will be trusted to facilitate meaningful conversations, establish a positive group environment, recognize concerns, document observations, and communicate professionally with our team and school partners.
We are intentionally selective about who works directly with our girls.
We are looking for someone who brings professional knowledge and experience to the work, but who is also willing to learn, ask questions, contribute ideas, and help us continue strengthening the PGP model.
What You'll DoFacilitate
- Lead PGP sessions for girls in grades 5–12 within partner schools.
- Facilitate lessons and conversations related to social-emotional learning, identity, self-awareness, relationships, decision-making, regulation, personal responsibility, and future potential.
- Create an environment that is engaging, structured, emotionally safe, and appropriately challenging.
- Adjust your facilitation approach based on the developmental needs and dynamics of the group.
- Maintain appropriate authority and boundaries while building genuine relationships with students.
Apply Professional Judgment
- Recognize when a student's behavior, statement, or disclosure requires additional attention or escalation.
- Respond appropriately to sensitive conversations while remaining within the scope of your role.
- Follow PGP and school policies regarding safety, confidentiality, documentation, and mandated reporting.
- Know when to address an issue independently and when to involve PGP leadership or school personnel.
Represent PGP
- Carry the standards, values, and expectations of Pretty Gyrlz Pray into every school environment.
- Model professionalism, emotional maturity, consistency, and respect.
- Work appropriately within PGP's Christian and biblical foundation.
- Maintain professional relationships with school administrators, teachers, counselors, and other school personnel.
- Protect the trust that schools, families, and girls place in PGP.
Document & Communicate
- Complete attendance and required session documentation accurately and on time.
- Upload session information and observations using PGP's systems.
- Document relevant student concerns, referrals, incidents, and follow-up needs.
- Communicate patterns or observations that may help PGP better understand and serve the girls.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute meaningful observations from the field.
Contribute to the Growth of PGP
We don't expect our facilitators to simply deliver a program.
We want people who think.
You may be asked to share observations about student engagement, group dynamics, developmental needs, curriculum, school partnerships, or areas where you believe the program could become stronger.
The right person will help us answer:
What are we seeing? What does it mean? And what should we do about it?
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate has:
- A BSW, MSW, or related degree, or is currently enrolled in a relevant program.
- Social work, counseling, education, behavioral health, youth development, or related experience.
- Experience working directly with adolescents, preferably girls.
- Strong understanding of social-emotional learning and adolescent development.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches and appropriate youth-serving boundaries.
- The ability to facilitate groups rather than simply present information.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Good judgment and emotional regulation.
- Comfort working independently in a school environment.
- A willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve.
- An understanding of or genuine alignment with PGP's Christian foundation and biblical approach to helping girls understand their identity, choices, and potential.
Licensed social workers and candidates pursuing social work licensure are strongly encouraged to apply.n.
You should be able to walk into a room of adolescent girls, build trust, establish expectations, facilitate a meaningful conversation, recognize when something is concerning, and leave the room knowing what needs to happen next.
This Role May Not Be For You If...
- You primarily want to deliver pre-written activities without engaging deeply with students.
- You struggle to maintain professional boundaries with young people.
- You avoid difficult conversations or conflict.
- You need constant supervision to manage a group.
- You are uncomfortable with documentation and accountability.
- You do not align with the Christian foundation of Pretty Gyrlz Pray.
- You see youth work primarily as entertainment or relationship-building rather than development and transformation.
This is a part-time, school-day position. Hours will vary based on PGP's school partnerships and programming schedule.
The rate reflects the level of trust, professional judgment, preparation, facilitation, documentation, and accountability expected of the person serving in this role.
Selection Process
Because this position involves direct access to girls and representation of Pretty Gyrlz Pray within partner schools, our selection process is intentionally thorough.
Candidates may be asked to participate in:
