Youth Specialist for After School Program - Third Grade

Under the guidance of the Site Director, the Youth Specialist is responsible for the direct supervision of an after school class within an elementary school campus. Position is specifically for our Third grade class. Youth Specialists will supervise physical activity, serve snack, assist with academic support, and lead engaging enrichment activities daily. Youth Specialist is expected to follow the program plan as designed around the school’s culture and academic philosophy.

Expectations include but are not limited to:

Activity Planning and Implementation.

Plan and facilitate enrichment activities, including arts and crafts, STEM projects, sports, games, and academic support.

Provide Weekly Lesson Plans.

Complete Daily Accountability Sheets

Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students, promote positive behavior, and foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Active supervision of students at all times

Following and enforcing program expectations and routines

Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and program leadership.

Maintaining classroom setting and materials

Being punctual, professional, and flexible

Availability between the hours of 1pm - 6pm

• Training: ASAP. Must pass fingerprint clearance & TB Screening.
• Start Date : ASAP. Must pass fingerprint clearance & TB Screening.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Working with children: 1 year (Required)
